A travel through China, visiting Beijing, Mutianyu Great Wall, Xi'an, Guilin, Yangshuo, Shanghai and Suzhou, exploring the contrast between tradition and modernity that characterises the rise of China in the 21st Century. Preserving the Imperial Heritage goes hand in hand with the forward-looking human force behind the latest architectural and social-economical feats of this impressive nation of one billion.

Known as the Middle Kingdom once upon a time, today, the People's Republic of China contains all the trappings of progress and contemporary culture. But, it still preserves its ancient traditions and history, which is apparent in its preservation of heritage architecture and monuments. Amalgamations of the old and the new, the various cities in China evoke a sense of mystery, attracting thousands of tourists every year.
